This was Boy's first attempt at drawing something on his own accord at age 3 (think he was kinda jealous that I kept posting his sister's artwork up on FB). It started out as a Transformer, I believe, that evolved into a peacock :-)
Then one day, 3 years later, he suddenly came to show me a piece of paper with his sketches of Ultraman! I especially like that this was entirely his own initiative, and upon encouragement, he went on to draw all his other Ultraman figures. Glad he found something he enjoyed drawing. Hopefully there'd be more to come!
Baby, too, was having a tough time with his kindy homework. Writing the letters of the alphabet was a tooth-pulling affair, so much so that I spoke with his kindy teacher to exempt him from writing exercises. At 3, I thought he probably wasn't ready for writing. The teacher was very understanding and agreed. But on that very day, Baby decided that he wanted to finish writing all his number 4s. And very nicely too. Go figure.
Well, he has his moods. But he's gradually enjoying scribbling on paper and occasionally writing out letters of the alphabets and numbers. His favourite letter of the day is "A" :-)
