School: First Day!

Baby started kindergarten on Jan 2. He's the youngest in his class, but the biggest in size.

The first day, he was brave and strong in the midst of many crying kids. Proud Mummy!

Then reality set in that he would have to be brave and strong and attend kindy every weekday for the  rest of the year! That was when the waterworks began, as did the bribes and persuasions and every other psychology method out there.

After Day 4, he seemed somewhat resigned to the fact that this was going to be his life from this time onwards. And soon it was, "Bye Mummy!" without a backward glance. Sigh!

He's settling in and seems to be enjoying himself, although there are almost daily reports of his "misdemeanours". Being the largest in size meant that he had to learn how to be extra careful and gentle with his classmates.

Still, am proud of my Baby.

That day in the car, he protested, "I'm not Baby. I'm Boy."

Hubby said, "Oh oh. It's ended before we knew it."

Ah well. That's life and part of growing up, I guess.
