Baby, as expected, enjoyed it the most. Every time Kakak comes in sight, he'd "chase" her away because he's afraid she's there to bring him in.
What do I like most about the sandpit?
Apart from the fact that I like projects and the kiddos helped to set it up, I like that they don't mind getting "dirty". This may not seem like a big deal, but city kids (like mine) tend to be quite anal when it comes to hygiene and cleanliness.
When Girl went to the beach at 1 year old, she refused to put her feet down in the sand. Whenever Boy does art and craft, he'd freak out if any paint gets on his hands. So to have them go barefoot and enjoy sitting in sand is a big thing for me.

And in line with teaching the kiddos responsibility and a sense of ownership, they have to wash whatever toys they bring into the sandpit themselves, a task that they took to with great enthusiasm. "I want to wash some more," Boy said.
Mummy hopes that many more happy memories would take place in the little sandpit.
