Jottings: Stuff to remember

Apr 8, 2016: Sign that your little girl has the father wrapped around her little finger.

"Oh look, her (grubby/sticky) handprint on the (newly painted) wall. So cute! I don't want to wipe this off!"

July 17, 2016: So the boys had their iPad privileges withdrawn yesterday afer exceeding their time limit. Today they pleaded for clemency, so I told them to submit their plea.

Quite different styles they hv, I hv to say ... but guess both were effective.

Jottings: The month of February at a glance

Twas a busy month of Feb

Our garden was actually producing and looking fab!

Boy and Girl tried their voice for some TV ads

Girl got a role and a rather fat pay cheque!

Baby Boy is into submarines

And dinosaurs, too, which he divided clean —

A portion each for his cousin and siblings

His sis made them a papier-mâché cave to sleep in

She expresses herself with drawings and hashtags

(especially when upset with Daddy)

She enjoys inviting her friends over for a lil' cuppa tea

 Baby Boy wasn't allowed to join the fun so we had our own party

We did spring cleaning and dropped off a whole lot of books at the L45 library

L45 Library @ 45 Lorong Kurau, Taman Weng Lock, 
Bangsar

And picked up a few new ones in support of a great Malaysian cartoonist with a great story

And of course we also had to do our studies —

in English, Malay and Chinese —

Coz we live in a wonderful Malaysian society!

Jottings: Bits & Bobs in March

Mummy has been busy, so here's a quick rundown of some of the fun stuff we've been up to.

Minecraft is the flavour of the season. But iPad time is limited, so when you can't play, you draw :-)

We came home late to this Goodnight note from the kiddos.

Girl and 2 friends assembled this wooden doll house all by themselves! This fantastic Malaysian-styled house was bought in support of EPIC Homes' fundraiser.
 

Finally finished our long-overdue paint-by-numbers canvas art!

Jottings: Family Love

We were working out our extended family tree with the kids the other day — it was pretty extensive that we ran out of space on the paper. Along the way, we talked abt China's 1-child policy and how different their family trees would look.

A day or 2 later, Girl observed, "A child in China would not have any cousins." Nor uncles and aunties.

Having grown up with an amazing extended family, that was a pretty sobering (lonely) thot. So this CNY, am thankful for all the crazy uncles, aunties and cousins whom we get to celebrate with each year! Love u all!

Jottings: Birthday greetings

Hv been blessed with many hugz, well wishes, dinners, cakes and thoughtful prezzies from loved ones this past birthday. But I especially love these gifts by my babies :-)

Jottings: Mother's Day Wishes

Felt really blessed after a restful Mother's Day day — thanks to Hubby who cooked breakfast, got me an ice cold drink in the heat of the day, suffered through 30mins of a sappy teeny-bopper movie until we both called it quits, and taught the kids to ride their bikes!


To top it off, the kids sprang a surprise scrapbook with their Mother's Day wishes, with heartfelt messages and drawings :-)

Thank you Jesus for my wonderful family!

Jottings: Paper Aeroplane

This afternoon, as Mommy was working on the computer, suddenly there was a little "whoosh" sound and a paper aeroplane skidded in, on the floor.

My instincts was to snap at Boy for playing paper aeroplanes instead of taking his afternoon nap.

But when I took up the paper aeroplane, I noticed that it was a note!

Awww ... heart melt!

Despite all the yelling and tears involved in our study sessions, he still finds it in the heart to forgive his Tiger Mommy :-p
